FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Bee with Magnifier

  • I am eager to get started. How long does the registration process take?
Registration does not take long at all. After you pre-register on the Web site, I will contact you via phone or email to answer any questions and set up a time to meet. When you come to my home I will give you a registration packet. You may fill the forms at that time, or bring them back on the first date of care. I will need to have all registration forms before I can begin care for your child. A health record (signed by a physician) must be filled out within 30 days entrance into the Busy Bees Child Care program. I have had families meet with me one day, and start the next.

  • I am expecting a baby soon. Will you hold an opening for me?
If you are currently expecting a child, you may hold an opening by paying the full tuition rate each week. I cannot hold an opening for free. If you are a current parent, you may hold an opening during your maternity leave (6 weeks) by paying 50% of the tuition each week. After 6 weeks, you will need to pay full tuition rate to hold the opening. This money is not refunded.

  • I may not have the money for my child care tuition this week.
If you are having a problem with making a payment, please communicate this to me as soon as possible so that we may work towards a solution.

  • Do you accept daycare vouchers from the county?
No. Cuyahoga County child care vouchers are not currently accepted.

  • Do you offer family discounts?
Yes. Full-time families that have more than one child in my care will automatically receive a family discount on their weekly tuition.

  • Do you provide weekend care?
Weekend and overnight care can be provided. Please contact me for special rates.

  • Do you provide meals?
I provide 2 snacks and beverages.

  • How many children do you care for?
Ohio law states that I may care for up to 6 children (not including my own over the age of 6) at a time.

  • Do you have an assistant?
During the summer months, I have a full-time teen assistant. She helps with meal preparation, learning activities, projects, handwashing, bathroom breaks, cleaning and some administrative tasks. This is not required by the state.

  • May I report my child care payments on my taxes?
Yes. At the end of the year you will receive a form with the total amount you've paid and my tax ID is on every receipt and invoice.

  • What is a Flexible Schedule?
A Flexible Schedule allows you to change your work schedule daily. Some parents don't have a job with a set work schedule. As long as I'm given 24 hours notice, you are guaranteed a spot in BBCC. Each week you will pay your weekly tuition plus the Flexible Schedule fee.

  • Can I pay you after I get off of work on Monday mornings?
Payment is due BEFORE services are provided. If you start each week on Monday, your payment is due Monday when you leave your child in my care. You may also choose to pay on Fridays (for the next week), via Paypal over the weekend or have your payments automatically debited from your bank account.

  • If my child is not going to be in care a few days do I still have to pay?
At BBCC you are paying for a spot, not attendance. Payment is due the entire time your child is enrolled in care. Parents are allowed 1 week of reduced rate (for vacations) with proper notice.

  • Do you have pets?
We have one small (6lb) dog.
